Baby BOY Taylor aka Cruz Kane Taylor

IT'S A BOY! We are SO excited! After our 11 week ultrasound the tech said she was 80%sure it was girl. We were excited, we just prayed for a healthy baby. However, the more and more we read into it and the bigger and bigger my baby bump got we decided we wanted to know 100% what we were having! We then scheduled an appointment at 4D Baby which is strictly an ultrasound center that does not offer medical diagnosis or anything like that. I was 15 weeks along so we had a good shot at possibly seeing whether Baby Taylor would be a boy or a girl. After a few minutes of chit-chat with the tech, she said "Oh yes, it's for sure a BOY!" we couldn't believe it! We were ecstatic! Neither of us had said it at the time, but Nick and I both secretly wished for a boy as our first. We already had a name picked out for him, Cruz Kane Taylor. We can't wait until we can see him again. We will update soon...:)

...and baby makes 3!

It's been forever since I have taken the time to blog. Partly because nothing has seemed "blog worthy"...until now.

My mind has always been setup when it came to us expanding our family. My education has always been a priority for me, so I definitely wanted to graduate with at least my Bachelor's before we expanded the Taylor herd. Nick on the other hand would have been in hog heaven with a baby years ago! At least one of us has SOME sort of sense! :) In late December we decided it was time to "plan" our expansion since I would be graduating that following May. We decided we would start trying in February and see what God had in store for us. Apparently He wanted us to wait just a wee-bit longer and on May 4th, on a whim, I decided to take a home pregnancy test. To our surprise...it was POSITIVE! We were extremely ecstatic, but only told close family and friends since it was still very early.

Yesterday, June 2nd, was our first doctor's appointment and they confirmed it! There's definitely a gummy bear in there! There are not even words to describe how excited we are! Our due date is January 10, 2012...I know, seems as if it's 5 years away but I know that it will come within a blink of an eye.

It's officially Fall, or is it?

Well, we thought the days of cooler weather were within reach and staying, however the last few days have been in the 90s again! Of course, just when we load up on new winter clothes, the heat shows its ugly head again...oh well, what can we do?

For the last few months Nick has been working two jobs. I am so proud of him! He is still working at the school during the day, and on the nights when I have class he works at AAA, and also on the weekends. I hate that we don't have as much time together, but it just makes the time that we do have that much more special. :)

I'm still at the daycare, not much has changed in that department. I graduate next May so my schooling is slowly, but surely coming to an end. Next semester I have my internship, I'm not quite sure where it will be yet, but that should be interesting to see how I'm going to work full time and intern full time.

We are pretty boring besides our work and school (since they both consume us). We hope everyone is doing well! Happy Fall! :)

After 'I Do'

Time has gone by so quickly, and it has happened without us even realizing it. The married life is wonderful, and we are both very happy. I am working and attending summer schoool now, dreading it, but attending nevertheless and Nick just started his summer job as a AAA driver, and so far he loves it! It seems as if the summer is slipping away, even though I hate to see it go I can't wait for cooler weather. It has been at least 110 for the last few weeks which is hard to deal with at times. Everything is going great though, we just thought we would touch base a little.

Well, the invitations are finally finished! I just have to put the address labels and they will be away in the mail! Here are a few pictures of some of my wedding projects...

The REAL Countdown begins!

We have less than 3 months until our big day!! Can you believe it? I can't!! We have SO much to do and are enjoying every minute of it! I'm working hard on the invitations which I'm thinking I will be finished with by next weekend and then comes deposit after deposit after deposit! Flowers, photographer, centerpieces, arches....I'm going crazy!! :) Watch out Bridezilla will be arriving soon...poor Nick. :] Wish us both luck! I'll try to post some pictures of all my little projects along the way!

Well, it's official...April 10, 2010 I'll be Mrs.Nick Taylor!:] We went to Boulder City yesterday to reserve and pay for the park, so the date is saved, officially, for the "Taylor Wedding"!

A Windy Day...

Well, we haven't posted for a while so I thought I would write a little something. Lately, the weather has been beautiful! Not the typical smoldering hot Vegas weather, but more of the nice, warm weather with a cool breeze...until today. It's cloudy and cold, and worst of all...windy!

Anyways, not much to update you all on. I'm just trying to finish up this semester of classes, and Nick is still trucking along with his as well. It's time for Nick to look for a summer job, since it's just around the corner. He was thinking of going back to the Boys & Girls Club for a bit, but he also applied for a CSM position for summer school so we'll see what happens.

An update on the present...

So I started another semester a couple of weeks ago. It's so hard to get back in the routine after a month off for Winter Break! Nick is still truckin' away in school and work. Not much has changed around here. When we aren't working, we are at school so there's little time to rest, let alone study! We know our pay off with be well worth it though. We've started thinking a little more on our wedding plans. The thought of a beach wedding seemed wonderful and stress-free(haha). We will keep all of you updated on the exact plans. Hope all is well with everyone!:]

Richfield Trip

It was great to finally see everyone again...even those that we met for the first time (Hi Cason:)!). We really enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Hooper and loved that we could help out with the Christmas decorations. I'd have to say that I am a pretty good supervisor! Oh and if anyone needs my wonderful peanut brittle OR pumpkin roll recipe, just let me know. I whip them out like crazy over here all the time:)! Oh, Paul & Becca...just call me Jackie Lopez, k?
